CT Shop for PPF and Exhaust?

Closing in on getting my hands on a new 'vert but it doesn't have NPP. I'm going to drive it a little before looking into some exhaust options but would want to work with a shop that can offer me an opportunity hear how a specific exhaust would sound on my car before I make a decision on which one to go with.

Also, I'm interested in getting PPF installed up front. I'm buying out of state and the car is likely going to have to sit in my yard for a few weeks while I wait for CT DMV to mail me plates, so it's just as reasonable to trailer it to a shop for them to do the PPF work on it (unless there's someone that brings the install to my house).

Any suggestions or references to share?

Anyone? Bueller?

Specifically looking for PPF product and installer recommendations as of right now. I am less than 48 hours from what appears to be an impending purchase. The car will likely get a fascia extender / splitter "right away" and I want PPF for all of the key areas done shortly after while waiting for plates.

Good move on the PPF. New England roads are atrocious and always under construction...

Sorry I don’t have a PPF shop recommendation. Good luck with the purchase.

So...

The last time I had 3M PPF installed on a vehicle it was a brand new 2008 MDX and the cost (through the dealership) was about $600. I talked to a local shop that does XPEL, and he quoted me $1800-$2000 for a "full front end" (which is what I had done on the MDX). Has this process gone up THAT much?

This quote seems excessive. Thoughts?

I think it has IMO. I think guys are paying $5K-$6K for full PPF.

I ceramic coated my car with the help of a couple of friends who do it on the side. Well worth doing but won’t stop the kind of crap that can hit your car on the highways these days. I’ve only got 5500 miles on my car after buying it new 2 years ago so thankfully virtually zero road damage (chips, rash, etc) but it never sees snow, ice, or even rain for that matter. Lol

Is the a daily or weekend toy?

At this point, I'm thinking it's going to be a garage queen! lol

It's intended to be a weekend car, NOT a DD.

Yes the prices are that high just to PPF the front, which is ridiculous IMHO! I had my vert ceramic coated but that alone won’t protect from flying projectiles coming off the road!

I completely understand that things go up in price, and I'm ok with that. This price jump reflected a 3x cost increase which is insane.

The good news is that I have spoken with shops that do Llumar (the $1800 and up was from a Xpel shop) and the price is less than half of what the Xpel shop quoted for the front end.

What I thought was "a bit much" from the Llumar shop was they want the car left with them for 1.5 days. I know there's a process, and getting the car completely clean is at the start. And, once washed, I expect it has to be allowed to fully dry. But, a day and a half?

You might try Cromwell Automotive, they deal with Magnaflow and Flowmaster and custom pipe bending. I'm going to try them out next month. Had some conversations with them and was impressed. https://cromwellautomotive.com/custo...-installation/
