Track numbering
I went to the track and of course they put numbers on my windows...what is the best way to get them off? I took my car to the car wash and they didn't come off. Is there a special method or will windex and paper towels work?

You can find a tool that's almost like an ice scraper but with a razor blade on it for getting anything off your glass without having to worry about dissolving something with a liquid only to have it relocate itself somewhere else.

No clue what the actual name is. Most automotive stores will have them, $15 or so. Just ask an associate b/c they can be tough to find, always in a weird spot.

No worries, just watch your fingers and keep the angle low. Glass should be fairly clean though before you start.

yes, Razor Blade Scraper has always worked well for me. Any auto store, various models to choose from:

After scraping mine off I still could see the numbers in the morning dew on my car when i would get in to go to work. |
I am obsessed with amazon...
Will this work https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BR...71L&ref=plSrch OR this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0006...qJL&ref=plSrch Would plastic be safer? https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0046...A3FDGJ8WZRKZPH |
Bingo.
I'd look for one that has a retractable blade if it goes in a tool box instead of on a peg board, it's safer for you and the blade. |
Ender, on Autogeek.net there are Plastic blades called ScrapeRite.

Should I be putting some type of lubricant on the glass before/during use?

If you go with the plastic razors, they would also would work good with WD-40 or a solvent. If you use WD-40 or something similar spray it on the cloth instead of on the window so it doesn't run. It is safe if it gets on the car, but in this case there is no need for it. |
We use the same wax/grease remover as we use right before we paint. Keystone 900, works awesome. Anything with a blade is a last resort.
