2020 V6 A10 anyone?

Does anyone have a 2020 with the A10? is it better than the A8? faster? any difference?

I'm curious about this as well. Can't find a single report on it

Same!

I have one. It doesn't feel much different than the A8 I test drove and I doubt it's faster. One thing I find a little annoying when using the paddles is that the first three gears are super long (3rd tops out at over 90 mph) and then they get really close, so if you want to cruise you're pulling the upshift paddle 4 - 6 times to get to a good cruising gear. Part of this is the goofy ratios in the transmission itself, but I think part of why it's annoying is that it uses the same final drive ratio (2.77) as the SS but without the midrange torque (or the limited slip diff WTF). Downshifting isn't too big of a deal if you want the lowest gear- you just hold the downshift paddle and it'll put you in the lowest available.

Otherwise I think the automatic modes are comparable. The big benefit and the reason I waited for a 2020 is I haven't heard of any reports of the transmission shudder that was so common with the A8 transmissions.

Thank you for the clarity! I’ll have to find a day to go down to my dealership and test one just for fun ;)

This is all you need to know. Or should I say, the most important thing to know.

It sounds like the A10 is really no better than than the A8, except for the shudder issue. Thank you for the info

Ok, so I have to ask a stupid question.... Is the New A10 a Dual Clutch Transmission or not? Because I really think its stupid to add two more gears to a transmission for the V6 that does not provide any better acceleration, torque, or performance...

No, it's not a dual clutch.

Thanks! If no DCT then what is the benefit of going 2 more gears? Reliability maybe? GM does some really odd things...:bonk:

Well there's no-one with the A10 having a shudder issue. That's already tiers ahead of what some have had to deal with. lol

I had the shudder about 10,000 miles ago, after a TC and NA-355 no issues....yet. I really feel these cars will last a long time if the transmission doesn't burn out.

Wow 5th and 6th gear are much tighter in that A10. Even 3rd and 4th look slightly more aggressive than the A8 as well. Hit 145 mph without too much trouble
