Need some help
I was wondering if one of you fellas would verify that a concern of mine is normal. I noticed when pulling the oil fill cap while the engine was running there was a pretty strong suction of vacuum on it. And the engine started idling funny. I noticed this after I installed a catch can. Can one of you pull off your oil caps while the engine is running and report back. Just wondering if the stock motor does the same thing. My OCD would very much appreciate it. Thanks

Did you remove the PCV?

Elite Catch Can
You diffenatly don't want to remove the lower catch can cup while the engine is running or start the car without it installed. Your basically creating a large vacuum leak with it removed. Your engine will run really rough for a whale until the computer takes over and tries to compensate for the leak, you might even throw an error code. All that suction just shows your catch can is working correctly and doing exactly what it's supposed to do. I have a catch can on my 2013 ZL1 as well and it usually has just a small amount of oil when I check it. So glad all that oil isn't going back into the supercharger. Still trying to mount the Elite catch can on my 2018 ZL1 with the correct brackets at the front of the engine area like yours.
