SCT and Bully Dog Programmers?
With the recent EPA raping of the parent corp of SCT and Bully Dog programmers, what are everyone's thoughts regarding functionality of these units? In the settlement the company is supposed to eliminate the capabilities the feds don't like. I was planning on going with one or the other for tuning and seeing as they have built in WiFi and cloud updating the company could easily send a firmware update that significantly neuters these units. For reference, Harley-Davidson had the exact same thing happen to them with their super tuners (I bought one of the last REAL super tuners my local dealer had in stock). After the settlement the replacement unit was useless. Mine unlocked the ECU and allowed full custom tuning. Do you guys foresee the same scenario here, particularly them forcing an update to existing units that neuters them?

It will be very interesting.

it wont update unless you allow it. dont update the current units. if you update the unit your old tunes may not work.

We still have the exact functionality we always had with SCT the user adjustable function for shutting off the rear O2s has been removed and it never really worked anyway.
