Bumbleboy92's 1LT v6 Build

As is the usual story with parents buying their kid a car for college. I was fortunate enough to receive a 2016 Camaro 1LT v6 as my gift from my parents and brother.

I actually was given it earlier in November but didn't get around to this until now. Even now I can't post photos yet as I'm in the midst of doing the RS light conversion. In the description, a stock black v6. Will update with any photos from before and after the conversion.

Edit: Transmission/Differential Info Sheet I made

VIN: 1G1FB1RS7G0180689

(For whoever purchased it in the future, hope you treat it well)

Damage isn’t as bad as it could have been, engine and most the body isn’t damaged. Trailer due to the rear wheel being hit and taking out the Stabilitrak

Camaro_QC 04-17-2019 05:51 PM

Meh it sucks but it looks like only body panels are damaged and some suspension stuff.

Keep us updated when it will be fixed!

Light repairs/Wheel upgrade

All tabs on LH Headlight were broken, same with LH DRL. Bought one off eBay with all tabs intact but glass broken, so cut into both to switch the glass.

Also got a set of stock SS staggered wheels and staggered 245/40/20 and 275/35/20 Goodyear F1 runflat tires

Pictures

Also got a SS hood with the vents, another LT bumper with RS grilles, and new fenders.

Believe the rear suspension work is fixed, needed to replace one of the links and bolts as they were bent, in need of alignment to make sure.

Next up is frame work and paint

From previous post: Frame work completed 05/21/2019

Alignment done 05/24/2019

Needs front right side tie rods and rear left welded bolt has to be rewelded.

Fenders and bumper put on, now paint

Normal post:

Got rear wheel nut holder welded and installed new tie rods on the passenger front.
Installed rocker panels from back when the alignment took place.

Needs new alignment and that should be it!

Edit: Alignment was done, slightly off-center but I think it's either the shop or very slight adjustments needed. - 07/03/2019

Edit: Installed new tie rods on the driver front. - 09/27/2019

Edit: Installed new sway bar end link on driver front - 10/12/2019
