Well just had installed the CAI today and was a breeze! Love the look and the sound of it. The whistling air passing through sounds great and for the money it is a great minor upgrade. Also i do feel some acceleration gains from the CAI just haven't had much time to drive it to really see. Here are some pics after the install -

Does it whistle? Actually whistle-I am not talking about the normal intake hiss. This is tea kettle style whistling lol.

I have the stock base exhaust, so it is quite from the engine, so should be able to hear something. I can't hear any whistle... dunno. I have MSD intake and a CAI CAI with sound tube delete. Is this from sound tube or form the stock intake manifold???

To be honest it has more of a air whistle which you may be referring to but can't say for sure if its the same like yours. Does sound normal compared to ones i have had in the past. I did take it up onto the highway and gave a little push to about 80mph. Sounds freaking awesome and totally worth the $$$!

Yeah when I say whistle I mean whistle in the most literal sense of the word. Lol.

Sounds that it may be getting air through a tiny area around the casing causing the whistle if that's the case is all i could think...
