Good deal on 2013 2SS?

So I need help. I am finally going to fulfill my childhood dream and buying a Camaro, I am getting a 2013 2SS.

I found this one car that looks really cool but is pricey due to all the options. A lot of the options are driving the price up but I don't really care about like floor mats, and a spoiler.

Here is the car

The sticker on it was 44,861. I got him down to 42,500 by continuing to state that I was taking the deal home to think about.

So with my trade:
$42,500 sticker + taxes and fees
-8,000 rebates and trade in
$36,861 total financed

60 months @ 2.99 apr $662 per mo
72 months @ 2.99 apr $559 per mo

The decision I have to make is: Is this a good enough deal for me to pay that extra money? Should I jump on this before the 2013 deals disappear?

Or do I look for another one that has a few less options and get a better price?

I'm pretty sure I would be happy with any 2SS as long as it looks cool and has the awesome navigation. But truecar.com says that I would be getting an awesome deal.

Its the end of the model year. Someone added some high value fluff to a car and it didn't sell. 4k worth.

Plus-when you throw a trade-in to the mix......you really have to keep a sharpened pencil in your hand.

Plus screw the rear ground effects, dump the automatic and get a 6 speed with NPP exhaust. The car will sound better and haul ass.

So I used the Chevy.com car builder and couldn't get it up to 49k when I built one like this:

The dealer claimed that the original price is 49k. Is the dealer jacking up the MSRP? What price should I aim for?

I could go either way, this one is really cool looking. But if the best deal I can get doesn't make it worth it then I'll go for a coupe.

I just picked up my 2013 SS/RS, auto, roof, nav..... Sticker was $42,330 and I paid $38,500. They are offering $1500 incentive right now..... I think you can do much better.

You guys realize that it has ground effects and heritage grille, etc etc? Easy 45K with that... Could he get cheaper with a different car? Of course!! He is asking about THIS car... I say for this car yes it is a good deal. Can he get cheaper car and more trade at different dealer? Well that is another story

EDIT: If you go to the dealers website, its 43K "before their discount" it says...

I agree the car has a higher price, however I got almost $4,000 less than sticker.... He's getting $2,300 less..... Just trying to save the guy some money!

Here's what I did...go to Chevrolet .com and build your car,then see what the MSRP price is. Then go to TRUECAR.COM and tell them what options you want and they'll find you the car you want with a great price. I saved $3,200.00 this way.
Also,find out what the car would cost without the trade in.

Looking at the dealers website and autotrader website stock numbers and putting everything that car has such as RS/automatic/the interior IOM/GFX/Heritage grill/rally stripes/nav/carpets/the extra to have IOM body color/spoiler and guessing it has cup and footwell lights the price is 15.00 more than what the dealer is asking at 46,055.00 before the rebate according to the Chevy build your own. So as Zapote21 and 13FastBlkSS said its a good deal for 36,861 total financed. That's 1000 less than I paid for my 1LE.

Have you checked other dealers in the area? I'm not sure how far you are from Southern Maryland, but the Weingardner and Ourisman dealerships have pretty good deals on Camaros. I purchased my 2SS/RS convertible, NPP, Nav, all options for around $44,700. I ordered mine from Leonardtown Weingardner. I dealt with the General Manager, Kurt Weingartner, and Salesman, Larry Wood. Great guys, and I would highly recommend them, but not sure of their inventory. Good luck!
