Projection from Android not working

I searched the forums already and could not find any answers, so...

Recently, while I was driving (2018 Camaro LS/RS, 7" screen) with my Pixel 5 plugged into the console USB port, the screen mirroring just stopped, the screen went back to the audio selection and playing FM radio and dropping my navigation, etc.

Has anyone come across this issue? Possible fixes other than dealer investigation and repair?

Thanks in advance...

Not sure if you had done this or not - but did you try to use some different USB cords? Could be the cord has gone bad...that is what it sounds like...

Agree with cord being the first thing.

I use cords from Dollar Tree. The round black style versus the flat versions.

They work flawlessly in my C7 and Camaro.

I did try the cord first. The symptoms were that the projection would work for about a minute, then drop out and go back to the original screen (non-projection audio), and it would flip back and forth two or three times before staying on the non-projection audio screen. Pressing the home button would show the icons for projection, audio, settings, etc. I quit using the USB after that. I tried three different cables with the same results.

By the way, the phone still charges when plugged into the USB, just the projection doesn't operate...

try resetting it. remove the car from your phone's bluetooth and android auto, and in the car remove your phone completely and repair see if that helps.

I'll do this shortly, when I get back in the car... thanks!

Just wanted to fulfill the intent of the forums:

I did what ste6000 said and performed the full reset and it worked perfectly. I also used a new cable. So ultimately, the reset worked. Thanks!!
