MSD LT1 AirForce intake manifold for a 2016+ Camaro SS delivers improved airflow and distribution to improve the performance of stock and modified engines.The unique bell-mouthed runner entrances maximize airflow and minimize shrouding - all while optimizing the available plenum volume for an unobstructed flow path over opposing runners. The polymer molded 2-piece design allows for easy access to the runners for porting.

The AirForce LT1 intake accepts an OEM electronic throttle body, as well as aftermarket electronic throttles up to 105mm.

We installed the MSD Intake Manifold on our stock Development 2016 Camaro SS. With this and many additional modifications, we campaigned this car heavily in the 2016 season at USCA and SCCA events, OUSCI, the Hotchkis Cup, and many other events.

The installation took us a little over an hour and everything fit perfectly. This is a high quality manifold and it looks great under the hood. We did have to make a provision for the fuel cross-over line but in a matter of minutes that issue was resolved. We offer a fuel line upgrade for a complete solution. Dyno testing was performed on our DynoJet at our shop in Utah.

The Peak gains were 22.13 WHP and 20.4 WTQ. Given the fact that this LT1 is 100% stock down to the air filter makes this gain impressive to us. This translates to 27 HP and 26 TQ at the flywheel.

The other thing to consider is that the dyno only provides peak numbers. The MSD Atomic Airforce manifold made considerably more power. The gain was 29.92 WHP and 24.45 WTQ at 6400 RPM. The manifold allows the engine to carry more power through the upper RPM range. This translates to 36 HP and 31 TQ.

Any benefits from this or is it strictly improved looks?

Looks pretty bad ass. Seend the MSD intake on a ls engine. Only real dyno tunes will tell what we are going to see for improvements. I think this will be better when people start changing cams and throttle bodies. Be the next step.

This intake definitely has benefits beyond its down right sexyness :biggrin:. This would likely be the next step after Intake/Cam/Headers to make the best use of its increased airflow. We will be testing shortly. Being as far west as we are means that we haven't seen our car that we ordered in FREAKING AUGUST! Being closer to the plant would be nice in these situations.

Saw that. That is a bold claim. Who knows, maybe there is that potential on the 6th Gen. We just got ours today so we'll be finding out sooner than later.

Any update? Dying to see the results.

Should have that test soon, Sledgehammer. We have a list of things that we are testing in the next little bit. If customers would just stop sending us cars to work on... :D
