PPF for side skirts needed?
So I just got new ACS side skirts in 1LE black and before I put them on should I get them ppf? Im thinking on getting rock guards too to help protect them and the rest of my car. Will the rock guards be enough for the skirts?

you gonna track it or no?

then i would do it the worse parts on these cars are front bumper/fender/hood and then the quarter panel right about the sideskirts
i almost pulled the trigger on those on black friday but skipped em let me know what you think of them! |

I picked them up on BF, picture isn’t great but they fit awesome. Easy install. I installed rock guards at the same time.
I asked my PPF guy about wrapping them and he said even with Xpel Stealth it will change the gloss level and it wouldn’t match the other parts. So I decided against it. The biggest thing I plan on doing is filling the rear so they don’t get blown out. Prob use spray foam... |

What DC5 linked... but I don’t think it’s a problem for 99% of folks. But might be something to keep an eye on if you are around a lot of gravel roads or the like.

Yeah I probs won't need to worry about that, I'm looking at these ACS rock guards. They pretty expensive especially the 1LE black color

I got the ZL1 addons, simple install, minimalist design, and go well with the 1LE black. Far cheaper then the ACS ones. I like the ACS products, heck everything I have is ACS... but I skipped their rock guards. I’m sure they are nice units but I liked the ZL1 design and saved quite a few $$$.

I ordered ACS rock guards last year for Christmas and they are essentially worthless. I removed them before even driving the vehicle, as they offer very minimal coverage and the tape on the left front guard separated from the rocker panel overnight because my driver side rocker panel doesn't perfectly match the fender opening. Do yourself a favor and purchase the far less expensive rock guards from ZL1 Addons. |
I had the OEM rockers PPF'd after I had them repainted. Last year I got the MRR-017 1LE replica wheels and added the ZL1 Addons rock guards. In my case, it seems that the PPE on the rockers is now not needed. I know the MRRs don't have as much offset, but I would go for the rock guards first, and then keep an eye on the side skirts and add the PPF later if you notice road rash, IMHO
