sound tube delete
For any one that went with a CAI did you get the right part to cover up the hole in the fire wall when you remover the sound tub?.
Some of the manufacturers out there give you a hole plug but its not the right part to use, it does not seal the fire wall, and you end up with two slots still open from the plug, we found out when we did an install on a 2SS, then we looked at the 2.0T car we have in the back and it came with a GM plug that filled all the opening and used the nut from the firewall to hold it in place. 2.0T car. http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/r...530_092525.jpg New part. http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/r...530_092044.jpg |
could you post the part number?

Ofer, offer a kit to complete the removal of the sound tube. The GM plug for the firewall and the plug/cap for the intake tube. I might be interested in one because I installed a Cold Air Inductions system on my '16 and would look much better without the sound tube.

I would purchase a kit if available but will purchase the firewall plug shown once the part shows on the website.

Thanks for researching and finding the part. Mine has been ordered. If you find a cap that will work, please let us know as that will be my next venture before removing the sound-tube.
