Bay Area Sightings Thread
 

I've never seen another one around here in San Jose, but about 8:40 this morning, I saw a Garnet Red 1SS 1LE on 101 heading north between Capitol Expwy. and Tulley. You probably didn't notice me, I was in my Grey G8GT in the lane to the right of you. We were both in bumper to bumper traffic.

While I’m originally from the Bay, also, I think post would be better served in the California sub forum. The Bay has a wide, wide range of absurd vehicles and the performance car scene there is pretty huge. It’s one of the things I miss the most about being there.

1LE sightings are very rare here. I've never seen another one.

There's so many regular Camaros here that a sightings thread would be kind of overwhelming, ya know :)

Other than mine, I would see 4-5 on a daily basis. One was white and the owner worked for Tesla Service in Fremont so I was told. it was parked out in front of our building daily when service was located there. There was a green one at the Tesla Factory. There was a black one I'd see regularly in the Nor-Cal Hobbies/Strike Brewing parking lot.

I was around there too this morning! On my way to the dealer. Don't see too many 1LEs around. I myself mostly only end up driving it only over weekends

Have yet to see a 1LE in the wild.

Every time i took my Krypton Green 1LE out there was someone recording me; On the freeway, at the beach, at the gas station, in a parking lot. No one approached me to inquire though. Maybe my bald head and goatee scared them off!

Up in Reno i saw a yellow 1LE

I'm not knocking you at all. I completely understand. Ironically where I am, there's about 5-6 6th gen 1LE's. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised considering I'm near several large military installations. I, however, am the only white 1LE I've seen locally, which is another oddity considering this is the most popular color combination.

While shopping for my 1LE there was only one new car within 90 miles of my home, and I live two miles from the border of Philadelphia, so it's not like I'm out in the sticks.
Down in MD near Baltimore there were a couple dealers that had dozens of 1LE's, while PA, NJ, DE, and NY had none.


Location, location, location.

I’m over in the north bay and i’ve yet to see a 1le or a zl1 outside a dealership.. i know they are out here

Even RS’s and SS’s are rare..

I did catch a red 1le in san ramon a few months ago

I have a 2019 SS 1LE myself out here in the Bay Area, I got it mid November... I have only heard about one other 2019 1LE that goes to a few meets around here but never in person. I've spotted a few older 1LE but nothing new.

I consider my car pretty rare, despite everyone hating my specific year... it's great!!!! Lol
