NOLA Motorsports - Roll Call

1 Attachment(s)
I just wanted to see who will be attending 5/19-5/20. I am bringing my rust bucket out for a go. The Indianapolis configuration is very fast.

Red Camaro reporting in sir.

LaFourche, did you get the schedule? I still haven't received anything by mail.

I have not. Last time it came out on Wednesday.

detltu 05-15-2018 02:27 PM

I'm planning on it. Need to get my Tech sheet filled out.

Ambush 05-15-2018 03:47 PM

Heads up, just got a NASA email regarding drivers packet and such.
Looking forward to seeing you guys again Saturday and Sunday.

Ambush 05-18-2018 05:15 PM

Massive storm right now. Hope the track is dry tomorrow. They turned the esses into a straight this weekend. Time to lose the Miatas?

Just to add a bit of information. I am definitely old, slow, but consistent. In my first session I ran 3 2:07X in a row. I ran one 2:06 in my second session, before I went 4 wheelin'. I still have my third and fourth sessions to work through. I have editing and sizing tasks before I can post.

For information, I have run a 2:05 on that course. I have run a 2:03 on the longer course a bit later. Those times were in the SS.

Nice to see you guys as well. I'm contemplating ways to upgrade our setup for future days. Need to find a way to have a tent and some shade. Had a good
time with you guys though.

Lafourche- sending a PM about the sound system.

I'm similar. The nice thing was there wasn't too much traffic so most of the time you could run a few consistent laps. My sessions were similar.
1st session - 2:08, 2:09, 2:09
2nd session - 2:06, 2:06, 2:06
3rd session - 2:04, 2:05, 2:06

That was my first time running the indy straight. It was fun, but the esses are probably my favorite part of the track. Regular configuration is still my favorite.

I'm getting consistent 2:07 all of Sunday.

During the last run on Saturday, another instructor sat with me - an Asian guy named Jetty. With Jetty, I got a 2:04 lol.

His instruction style was something like this video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dlpOxk-MFY

But seriously, request Jetty at the next session and you'll see your time fall by a few seconds. He's driven a Camaro on this track and has some experience with it's handling.

I hope that guy in the Blue 1LE runs with us next time.

Also, uh. anyone know where to get 6 piston brembo brake pads for a reasonable price?

Very cool idea. I may have to do that. People were talking about Jetty's Corvette. Sounds like he is a very fast driver.

Look up the power-stop track day pads on rock auto, best price/performance i found. however they are more dusty.
