H-Pipe

H-Pipe, I wanna hear H-Pipe Sounds....who here is running an H-Pipe?:noidea:....I hear its a deeper tone than stock X-Pipe and reduced rasp.:D

I'm curious too. I prefer the H-pipe sound.

Blackmonba6Gen 04-14-2021 09:32 AM

I have an h pipe on my Camaro. I have videos on my YouTube channel if you want to see more. Here is a few to look at. The first video is a comparison video with the H pipe catback from stock to Axleback and the second video is without cats on the car with headers (current setup)

The only company I know that does a full exhaust setup for H pipe is MRT

Are you saying the V6 has a h-pipe stock from the factory?

Seniorrs 04-14-2021 10:02 AM

When I changed my oil at 4k miles I'm pretty sure I saw aH pipe.

You probably saw the resonators. All camaros have an x pipe setup from factory. Mt friend just removed his resonators for an h pipe on his v6

Will look first chance I get. What do u think about pipes flattening under axel?

HCI2000SS 04-14-2021 10:38 AM

Yeah what you're seeing is the factory resomator, and not a h-pipe. The flattening of the pipes under the axle don't effect performance or anything

A stupid design 😂. There are plenty members who agree with that statement but I assume GM has some smart reason behind it but most people get a aftermarket Axleback setup and it removes it anyways.

Its for clearance. The Convertibles have an X brace there and believe me, an exhaust system clunking against the brace. Our 2005-6 GTO's had a similar thing . NO CHANGE IN HP replacing it with round pipe...

Is it better to remove sound tube when making exhaust louder. My last car, focus st,it was better to remove it when making exhaust loud.Camaro has better intake sound

HCI2000SS 04-14-2021 11:03 AM

I removed the sound tube when I put on my Flomaster axle back. I honestly couldn't tell a difference either way

kropscamaro16 04-14-2021 11:47 AM

my afe power has a h pipe on it

full longtubes with cats and full exhaust
