What do you use on the door weatherstripping to maintain it and clean it?

I use the GM dielectric silicone grease the manual refers to as option #2. Works very well, expensive, but we don't have a lot of weatherstripping to cover.

EDIT: part number is 12345579 if you're interested. It's $13 a tube on amazon, should be around $7-8 on GM parts sources, which doesn't sound a lot, but it's a pretty small 1oz package.

I don't like buying things that are specific for one use, I end up with a bunch of stuff on the shelf. I like to try to look for things you can use in six or seven different places, aerospace 303 protectant does that very well.

I find it funny but I had a blue 303 bottle on the shelf I forgot I had....dammit.

I use 303 protectant since it offers UV protection.

Yep, I use 303 all over my car...tires, seats, dash, hoses, rubber trim, plastic, metal, you name it. Good stuff.

Which version of 303 are you guys using? I see several different formulations on Amazon and I am not sure which one to get.

This is the one we have.

Have used Honda Shin Etsu silicone grease on my cars for several years. Seems to do a great job of quieting down weatherstrip rub noise. Also keeps it pliable.
