What is your motive for posting this story? A police officer that may or may not be guilty of questionable arrest tactics made $243k last year because of the ridiculous amount of available overtime. Ok...and? :iono:

i can see why he would post it seeing as if he is guilty that would mean American tax payers are giving an exorbitant amount of tax money to a criminal...

Just as Kalifornia voted to spend taxpayer money on supplying illegal aliens (ages 19-25) with "free" healthcare. Giving tax money to criminals...
:faint:

I don’t think you should mix what was earned legitimately as part of salary + overtime with the fact that he is now under criminal investigation. Sometimes overtime makes sense to a department and some officers are willing to work a lot of overtime to make extra money. If you don’t like that, you could run for Baltimore City Council and change how it works.

I don't see how that would justify a sworn officer breaking the law and being paid an outrageous amount to do so. Not saying I agree with California but they aren't related at all.

Giving tax money to criminals...is "giving tax money to criminals". There are no two-ways about it. Sorry.

CJandtheSS 06-10-2019 10:41 AM

so does that mean we shouldn't care about this case because similar things are happening in other places within our country? Shrugging your shoulders to either of those issues seems like willful ignorance to me. They are not mutually exclusive.

DRKS1D3 06-10-2019 10:46 AM

Please show me where I shrugged my shoulders and looked the other way. I'll wait.

I realize it's difficult for some folks to wrap their heads around the concept, but Due Process is still in place here in the US. The piece came from MSNBC, so it is naturally going to be a slanted story.

I'm missing your point, if there is one. Get rid of the ellipsis points and have an intelligent conversation, bud.

hahaha looks like you missed the rest of my reply. I quoted you literally saying 'ok... and?' along with the shrugging shoulder emote. Which was in direct response to the attached story. I don't see how that can be interpreted in any way other than shrugging your shoulders.

I asked him for his motive, which we still do not know. You are only assuming. That is what the "shrugging of the shoulders" refers to. What is the motive?

I'll leave you be. Have a good one.

CJandtheSS 06-10-2019 11:09 AM

We can agree to disagree. Have a good rest of your day my man.

Sweet Vette by the way.
