Chevy.com... still sucks after all these years
The chevy build website gives only 4 angles of your build. Why can't they modern up a bit like these guys with their infinity angle 3d model?

I love how certain wheel and appearance options don't even show up when you select them.

They will improve it eventually, but it's definitely years behind the competition by now.

While I can not disagree that it is outdated and needs work, I feel the need to point out that at least on Chevy.com site they supply options (even if they don't always show up on the pic).
So many other car manufacturer sites just don't offer up the variety of options that are available with chevy cars. Last time I tried to do a build on a Mustang (admittedly it's been 5 years or so) the options available were by package only, then some color options. With Chevy I could go through and add a cold air intake, or change the exhaust, add particular decals/stripes. Sometimes some options are only available in certain packages but still the variety that is given was far beyond what the competition had available. So, if having an older outdated site means they can and will offer so many options, I will take that every time. I liked being able to build the car I wanted with (most of) the options I wanted without being stuck with only a few packages to choose from. |

They don't even advertise a car that many do not know is still made, you think they care about the configurator?
|
One thing that has always bugged me is after building the car online they will try to locate a model near you. However, most of what is shown isn't the same model/version you're looking for. For instance, if you want a white ZL1 10-speed, they will show you a yellow 1SS 6-speed.

could be worse.the phone system in my 5th gen is easy to use.hop in the wifes 2018 honda and the phone system sucks balls and requires a lot of manipulation by hand to interface.at least the chevy stuff works...

There is a 3D tool for the C8 Corvette though. But someone thought it was a good idea that this is a stream to the 3d stuff happening on a server, so it's always laggy and slow. And you still have the standard 2d pictures in the build & price tool.
Guess it's just cost cutting to throw the 2d images of 3d models into this old tool instead of revamping it entirely |

Honda/Acura may be great with the speakers, but their interior technology feels decades behind even Subaru. |
It could always be worse than it is!

They don't want you to configure and order a car - they want you to buy one from a dealer inventory!!
