SS 1LE wheel versus MRR replica...color.

Hey all,

This is a question on color, not quality of the two wheels. I'm running the graphite grey MRR 1LE replica wheels on my SS and unfortunately I curbed it a while back. Luckily just an edge, and not a spoke. Pretty confident I could smooth out the roughed up edge myself, but I need paint.

Now I know GM offers a touch up paint pen to match the oem 1LE rim, but I don't know how close they match on color.

Anyone out there ever get a chance to compare the two wheels in person? If they are pretty close, I may just go this route. I contacted MRR when it happened and they didn't have much to offer me aside from taking to a shop and having it paint matched

Thanks

I'm about 99% sure the OEM wheel is darker.

I think you might be correct, but the MRR graphite wheels are actually fairly dark too...darker than they appear in many of the photos on this site. I've had people mistake mine for black wheels before upon a quick glance.

If spot is small enough, touch it up with some flat black.

I have the MRR M017 on my 50th Anniversary 2SS. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c31d35acbe.jpg
