LT5 vs LT4 (differences and similarities)
Hey all, would you guys be so kind as to educate me in the differences and similarities between the LT5 (ZR1) and LT4 (ZL1/Z06).
And you guys can skip the fact that the blower is different lmao. I'm just wondering how different the motors really are aside from that. |

Most notable difference I think is the LT5 uses port injection and direct injection, the LT4 uses only direct injection.
Has carbon build up on the intake valves been a problem for anyone with the LT4? Haven't heard any complaints about it and it's been around a while now. Quote:

Unfortunately, the LT5 engine has even been discontinued for aftermarket purchase too.

For a while you could buy a LT5 blower and PI setup through Crawford. Doesn't look like they sell it anymore.
