Speed Engineering Longtubes and X pipe Install

I installed the speed engineering 1 7/8 long tubes and x pipe and couldnt be happier. The quality of the welds and materials was top notch and the fitment was perfect. it all bolted up and fit exactly how it should have. Didnt have to cut or adjust anything to fit. For the price i couldnt be happier. Definitely worth it for those looking for a full headers and x pipe system!

Does that whole setup bolt to the oem axleback/catback? Or rather cut and clamp lol

This is a full headers and mid section piping. you just cut your midsection exhaust right after the crushed section by the differential and clamp up the full headers and midsection to the stock axleback mufflers. Very easy and if you have a tailpipe/ exhaust cutter it makes it very very easy to install.

THe stock exhaust does not have any clamps downstream from the cats. so it must be cut to install.

Probably going to get their 2" myself. Any reason u went with the 1&7/8?

Ghost18ZL1 06-01-2019 06:18 AM

That looks good. What hardware and gaskets did you go with? Ive got an AWE catback system and I am looking at headers right now. For the price, I might as well get the X pipe as well incase I run into fitment issues with the AWE system. I wonder how their 2" fitment is?

Sean, how well is the fitment on the 2" system? Ive got a 2018 ZL1

I am using 2" tube. I have been used 2~3 companies' 2" tube, it is the better than others. Perfect fit, nicely welded except clamps haha, but not a big deal.

I got the 2" setup and it all fit perfectly.
