2017 TCM removed for unlock

Finally got around to removing my TCM and sending it to HPT to be unlocked.

Hopefully get it back soon, so I can raise my shift points to 6600RPM and remove some torque managment.

Wondering how many tenths some TCM tweaks will net me ET/MPH wise....

I think I remember seeing .3 possible in TCM tweaks...

.2 and a mph or two is what I see. I have had it as tight as .15 and 1mph. But on average, .2 and 2mph. Might be able to get a .3 in there.

Yea...Shall see I suppose. Descent gains on average tho.

I just got mine back but haven't been able to finish unlocking it. Got some errors. Hopefully hptuners will have an easy fix by the time I get home today.

Apparently it cost more with HPT to tune the 17's as well. I would assume with all the trans problems these cars have had that GM doesn't want anyone in there. But if you do get in there your warrantee is void so I could be talking craziness.

hptuners got back to me. they updated the beta and had me try it again. it worked with no issues this time.

Good to hear for all the 17's. Man its expensive to get that done. Shit and glad I have a 16.

Just got mine back today. Yea, they probably got to do that with me too. When I try to read TCM, it says Not Authorized. Just emailed them.

Even when it worked I got an error about not being my file.

I was able to see the trans data and modify it and save it. When I tried to burn it it asked for more money. I also paid the extra credit for the fpcm but I don't know if I need that.

No, just saying it didn't ask for them until I tried to write it. Normally it asks if you want to license it when you first open or read the file.
