Boost Question
 

Just looking for some input, this is my first turbo setup. It is a single front mount setup, currently running 9psi. Under full boost, I’m getting a popping sound, like a backfire, especially under WOT. Any ideas where to start? Mods are as follows.

-LY6 Iron block 6.0L, Mahle rings gapped for boost
-15W40 Rotella Oil
-LS3 heads, mildly worked for boost (opened exhaust port).
-TSP .660 springs
-Cam motion Turbo camshaft - 228/224 115.
-ARP head bolts, LS9 7-layer head gaskets
-Melling high volume oil pump
-C5R timing chain
-TR6 plugs gapped at .28 I believe
-Stock LS3 intake, ported stock 90mm TB
-1000cc injectors, ZL1 intake fuel pump, DSX Aux pump
-Comp Turbo 67mm
-Turbo Smart E40 boost controller
-Autometer wideband
-Tial wastegate/BOV
- 3” Exhaust

Check the plugs, make sure the wires aren't burnt. Drive mildly and refill with top tier fuel (Shell, Exxon, BP). See if that changes anything
