Tires needed for the track (road course) - what brand?
Hello everyone,
My 2nd set of Eagle F1 are toast and I am looking to get a new set of 4 tires that can also be used on the track. I would prefer to use something more durable that allows me to drive and track the car, the Eagle F1 become very loose when I floor it, it spins the rear wheels even around 100kph / 60mph. Here are a few things to consider 1. The car is a lease and this is the last summer I use it. I will put winter tires in October, so basically the tires I put on now have to last for a few more summer months + a few days on the track this season (probably 3-4 track days maximum). 2. The car needs to be returned to the dealer with a set of 4 run flat tires in decent condition - I would prefer to buy a new set now and return the car with these tires on. 3. The big goal is to sneak in some track days and still be able to use the tires after without having to buy another set before I return the car next year in March 4. This is the layout of the track I will be going to. Not super high speed, but fairly technical and grip is king... So in the end, what tires should I buy to meet the above criteria. The car is a 2SS completely stock and the sizes I need are: 245/40ZR20 front 275/35ZR20 rear Thank you all. |
