2022 2SS 1LE bought from Florida and drove to Houston, amazing car and amazing owner. I don’t believe they’re on these forums but he kept the car in immaculate condition. I bought it from them with 11,157 miles and reached home with 12,095 miles. (I am using the listing photos, I have to clean it in the morning and then I can take some)

Options from factory include: 1LE package, A10 transmission, Sunroof, Navigation, Red seat belts, All weather floor mats, Sports pedal kit (and a front license plate bracket :laughabove:)

When I was searching after my car was totaled the prices were all over but occasionally I did see occasional 1LE’s that were in my range, funny enough after spending months checking cars.com daily for new inventory and price changes it was good old Facebook Marketplace that I found this car from.

It was sold by a dealership when it was new to another Chevy dealership who put ~1,200 miles on it then sold it as CPO to who I bought the car from.

Since it was a CPO, I got transferred the whole suite: extra year of warranty plus 12k miles on top of the 36k bumper-bumper for a total of 48k miles and 100k miles powertrain warranty plus the roadside stuff.

Having just spent a full 25 plus change hours in the car traveling, it’s a beast. Probably gonna be getting new tires soon as the treads are not great but even with not optimal tread it handled beautifully. It’s nice to have all the creature comforts that I tried Jerry-rigging into my 1LT and man does the OEM version work so much easier :smiling1:

Considering the CPO warranty, I don’t think I’ll be attempting any bolt-ons like I did with the LGX and honestly having come from the LGX it’s definitely going to take me a bit to handle the cars stock power. Though the previous owner did do their own mods including Anderson Composites hood and side skirts, a Cold Air Inductions Elite Carbon CAI, and a E85 kit he graciously included with the deal. The original matte wrapped hood was included and brought back with me (thank god for truck rentals).

I have yet to actually open the E85 box but will see what brand it is, I will keep the CAI and side skirts as they look amazing and I did not have any issues along the ride home. I did receive the OEM CAI so if I ever have a warranty issue I’ll have that handy. The hood will be changed back to OEM, it’s an amazing hood and great construction but I’m not a big fan of the COPO style on a stock engine. I will say, the amount of looks and comments alone of the hood on just the rest stops and seeing people stare while walking is something I’ve never experienced before, not a bad thing just a first experience.

To be honest, it hasn’t really hit me truly, every time I exited the rest stops along the trip I’d see the car and think damn that’s a nice car and then after a beat think ‘wait yeah, that’s mine’:happyanim:

Side notes on the car itself, the exhaust is wayyyyyy better then any video I watched, the paint is extremely well taken care of, the alcantara took a little to get used to and maybe I’m making this up in my head but the steering wheel is so skinny compared to the leather version, now though I really like the feel of alcantara. Unfortunately right before my 2016 1LT was totaled, I installed an OEM ZL1 push start button (silver/metal? Instead of black) and OEM carbon fiber shifter knob. As I couldn’t access the car I couldn’t remove them and that was a loss but I will be adding those to this car, if I remember correctly the shifter knob cap can be taken apart so I’ll combine the alcantara knob with the carbon fiber cap.

In my 1LT thread I was asked for feedback on the A10 (shoutout arpad, one of the first members here who helped me out back in the early ownership days with the 1LT and has given crazy amounts of help and knowledge here). The A10 on the 1LE has probably the most smoothest yet most rewarding (if that makes sense) out of the transmissions I’ve test-driven or owned (8L45, 10L60, 10L80). Again the 10L80 is probably the same in the 1LE but in comparison of the 2SS I test-drove compared to this 1LE 10L80, this one felt much smoother. Maybe it’s the mileage difference ~20k miles or something else.

One note about the car, one of the service records indicate there was a lifter failure at 10k miles two months ago on #7 I believe where they replaced all the lifters on that bank under warranty. I know of the infamous lifter issues but as long as I’m within warranty I’m handing it all off to the dealer if something comes up :D

Looks good but I’m biased.

Hopefully you’re planning to take advantage of a ported hi ram since you have the hood already

Fantastic upgrade, congratulations, so happy to see you back in the game with such a massive player  You even have some extra warranty now, very nice. I don't care for this hood style either on a car for the street, by the way.

I'll have to drive one of these magical A10s again one day, heh, gotta see if all this is placebo or it's actually better than a properly tuned 8L90 :D

Thank you! It’s honestly a perfect hood for that but I think I need to let the honeymoon phase play its course. Atm I’m probably gonna sell the hood but maybe something will change as I spend more time with the car

Thank you, you’re the best on this forum I swear

It’s probably placebo but man am I high on placebo so far with it! I’ve taken the hood off and put the original for the time, I doubt I’ll decide to keep it, probably be put up for sale in the future (if it was a different carbon fiber hood like OEM shape then I’d totally have kept it tbh)

I had the 8L45 tuned and it was real smooth and quick after compared to stock I remember, this feeling might be the difference jumping to the A10 gearing along with the v8 jump putting a placebo in all honesty

Congratulations Bumbleoy92! Very nice and apparently well taken care of 1LE. The more you drive the car the better you are going to like it. The 1LE is an awesome machine. My 1LE is a 22 as well.

Others may disagree, but in my opinion the stock hood looks much better on the car. I'm just not a fan on the other hood. And the ZL1 style side skirts make the 1LE look even better. Enjoy your new ride!

Thank you! The hood is definitely going for sale, I just love the look with the matte hood more after driving with it now

I like the stock hood

Small updates, sold the CF hood, e85 kit, and the Recaro’s I had previously.

Now for the bad news,

No clue where it’s coming from, coolant looks fine and I don’t see any oil residue in the engine bay but the oil spots are still on the driveway so

Last oil change was 10/01/23 from the dealership and only realized now it’s coming from the car as I saw the oil spots after multiple rainy days and thought that’s definitely not right. One of the only times I’m glad for the Ring system (even if it barely works)

Made an appointment at the dealership, preparing myself to be out of a car for a while but hoping not

Found oil underneath my brand new 2023 2 weeks ago. Had taken it in for the 500 mile oil change 3 weeks prior to that. I went underneath the car and noticed the oil filter was very oily. It was tight. Oil was also all over the silver crossbar thing.

Took it back to the dealer a few days later. They said there was a crimp in the oil filter that caused it to leak. Whether that was true idk for sure. But we both got our oil changed in October. Maybe they shipped out a bad batch if yours winds up being the same thing.

I don’t have access to my jack but I will do my best putting my phone down there and hopefully I can see if I’m in the same scenario, thanks!

Well looks like it’s the same situation, I couldn’t reach to see if it was tight or check further but it’s definitely coming from the filter

Definitely interested in what the dealer tells you. If they did the usual double gasket thing I doubt they’ll admit it.

Ended up being a more involved issue. They replaced an oil cooler and resealed the timing cover as well as the oil pan

Reattached side skirts with new tape, previous installer just slapped on layers. Downside is the rocker got filled with rocks from when it was detaching and it’s chipped around but after reinstall it’s all hidden

Before and after shown
