Good luck with the flooring job, Becky, hope it turns out all right :)

I did something similar in my garage and even just snapping the pieces together and seeing the checkerboard pattern develop was gratifying, almost therapeutic. I also laid down some medium thick, perforated underlayment to cancel step noise and still allow water to channel out.

Didn’t get as much as predicted, thankfully. Still a mess. :pout:
