The story of my 8th and 9th Camaros
 

I have always been a Camaro guy.
9 Camaros so far.
Here is my list of Camaros that I have owned over the years.

1986 Camaro Berlinetta (the only non V8 Camaro I have owned)
4th Gen
1995 Camaro Z28

2010 Camaro 2SS
2011 Camaro 2SS
6th Gen
2016 Camaro 2SS
2019 Camaro 2SS

I guess I need another 4th Gen to make it all even.
And 1st Gen Camaros ?? there is prob no way I can ever get one ….much less two… LOL

But here goes my 6th Gen Camaro story.

It all starts with buying my 2016 2SS Camaro on March 30, 2016.

Within 24 hours and had already plasti-dipped the stock wheels, front bowtie, and also plasti-dipped between the rear tail lights for a blackout panel and removed the SS emblem from the rear bumper and moved it to my blackout panel.

on the 4th day I got the windows tinted

on the 9th day I installed 1.5” Phastek lowering springs.

About 5 months later I got MRR 228 wheels 20x10 front 20x11 rear with Mickey Thompson Street Comp 275/35 front and 305/35 rears.

Almost had the car a year now.
I took it to Atlanta Custom Wraps and had them do a full wrap including the door jams to Avery Satin Pearl Nero. They did the roof in 3M Carbon Fiber and some 3M gloss black accents on the mirrors, shark fin, and front bumper cover.

In April of 2017 I changed out the factory rear spoiler for the Anderson Composites Carbon Fiber spoiler with wicker bill. Also installed Oracle LED side marker lights.

September 2019

I added rear window louvers

Finally got a personalized tag (too bad it was only on the car for 4 days)

The only thing I had left to modify on the car was to wait till Feb 2020. (income tax refund..LOL)
and order the Ikon Motorsports ZL1-1LE front bumper cover and wrap it to match the rest of the car.

September 23 2019

A speeding Tahoe hit me in the pass side rear qtr. and spun me into another car sitting at a stop sign which wiped out the drivers side rear qtr.

My beautiful 2016 Camaro SS that I had worked so hard to personalize my way.... is totalled.

And so the 3-1/2 year 46,000 mile journey is over.

Thanks!! It was heartbreaking for sure. But everything happens for a reason.

So the 2016 got wrecked on a monday, and wedsday I was told that it was totalled for sure.
I found a Camaro I was interested in and got up early friday morning to see if I could get it.
Before lunchtime that day I was the proud owner of a 2019 Camaro 2SS !! :thumbup:

It had a few things extra that my 2016 didnt have, specifically a sunroof, and adrenaline red interior accents. And I made sure to get Black this time so that it would be easier to vinyl wrap in what ever color I chose.

There wasn't a chance for you to poach some or the aftermarket parts that weren't affected by the crash and replace them with the original oem pieces? Like the hood, tail lights ect.
