Ordering Question
Hi- I have a question about my Camaro 1SS order that I wanted to see if I could get some feedback on. Chevrolet confirmed that they received my order on January 22. I have been checking with Chevrolet frequently and they still do not have a target production week available. My dealer said that the vehicle is scheduled for a March allocation and it would be delivered in late May or June.
This seems like an awfully long wait - 4 or 5 months. Does this long of a wait seem normal??? Why is it taking so long? It is just a white 1SS manual coupe. Thanks |
Your dealer did not have an allocation to order. Just because Chevrolet receives your order does not mean it has been accepted. You have most likely sat at status 1100. Your dealer has not actually had this order picked up. From the way it sounds, your dealer just recently got an allocation if they are saying March. You should give your order number to Becky and have her look at it.
A live example for this would be me. I ordered January 23, wheels were on constraint for 4 weeks, and my dealer didn't have an allocation for 1 week. So for roughly 5 weeks, my order had zero progress. Once it's picked up it should take 6-8 weeks to get to you. So no, if you ordered your car and the dealer had an allocation that day, it should not take 4 or 5 months. It sounds like they've been stringing you along. |

Hi Parker- How do I go about getting in touch with Becky and having her look at my order number? Thanks |
She is in the ordering tracking forum. I'm in Canada so I couldn't use her but she's great.
A few forum members helped me I get a weekly email from my dealer now. My production week is next week 28th of March. But I sat at 1100 status for 2 months skipped the guy i bought the car from went to the general manager then just like that with in 2 weeks went 2000 status then 3000 status and now build date next week. |

http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=415251 Becky can be found there. Give her your 6 digit order number and she can look it up for you. She does it for free and takes a lot of her time to help. I prefer to ask her over Chevrolet as she is more descriptive and helpful of ordering questions as your status moves forward. |
Thank you,
Becky got right back to me. Much appreciated. |

Not to hijack ur page, but how dose one get there order number or info on how to track to process of their order. I went to my dealer on Sunday to order and tell them all what I wanted and they said they were to send it in Monday.

Ask your dealer to email a copy of the OrderWORKBENCH to you.
