SuperCar G:2 impressions

Anyone have these on the ZL1 as OE? I'm curious if they're more hydroplane resistant than the SuperCar3 that was on my 1LE.

I'm going to say that they are not hydroplane resistant than any of the other original equipped tire on the ZL1 or ZL1 1LE. Reasoning for that statement is because the Supercar G 2 tire is still a ultra high performance tire.

Im curious if this part actually is real world truth, via Tire Rack because other owner reviews are poor on TireRack.com.

The Eagle F1 Supercar G: 2 features a race-inspired tread compound molded into a unique asymmetric and directional tread design that rewards the driver with a blend of dry road traction (from massive outboard shoulder tread blocks) combined with wet road confidence (provided by Eagle F1 GS-D3 inspired sweeping Aquachannel grooves on the inboard side).

Super car g2 I believe came stock on my ‘13 1LE. They were terrible in rain and any cold weather. The g3 is superior in every way.

^This. I ran a set of G2’s on my C6 Corvette years ago, and I was not impressed.

It’s mind boggling and disappointing to me that GM would go to the trouble and expense of collaborating with Goodyear on the G3 and engineering the 6th gen Camaro around that tire, then start equipping new cars with an older, outdated, underperforming tire instead (ostensibly to save a few bucks).
