Anyone selling, or considering it?

Is anyone selling, or thinking of selling their Camaro because of the hot used car market? I'm probably in a unique position that I bought my 2017 2SS as a third car (SUV and Corvette convertible). I bought it used in 2019 to use as a daily and only use the SUV in the snow, but in reality I ended up driving the Corvette a lot less and driving the Camaro instead, and then whenever the Camaro was nice and shiny i wouldn't drive it if there was a chance of rain, and drove the SUV more than I wanted to. So the experiment hasn't worked out as planned. I always planned on selling the Camaro (and vette convertible) if I stepped up to a C8. So with the hot market right now, and I'd be winterizing the Camaro probably in a few weeks anyway, I've put it up on Marketplace. Just curious if others are selling or thinking about it, if this was your 2nd or 3rd vehicle too.

For about 100K, I would.

camaro is my 2nd vehicle i looked into it earlier in the year around march or april since i dont drive it much anymore just weekend fun car/track car but nothing else i can afford or want so i decided to keep it and built it into more of a track focused car coilovers suspnesion seat/harness

We've had some people ask us to sell, not a chance. Before this crazy car debacle, when we ordered the FIFTY, we made a deal to keep the car forever. Sentimental.

We can see too far.

Second vehicle as well. Have been considering the idea of letting it go. As of now I am probably going to put it to bed and see what the spring/summer brings. I don't forsee the market cooling off too much and I don't see the chip shortage letting up anytime soon. If the market drops then that's all the more reason to keep it!

I've never considered selling my FZ10, even though the new MT10 drops next year. I know it would be a mistake.

We can see too far.

2nd vehicle and no intention of selling. There is nothing that could realistically replace my Camaro now.

Do you think you will miss the Camaro? It looks like they will only make them for another year or so and with the supply shortages I would expect the production numbers to be pretty low. If you don't really care then you might as well take advantage of the strong used market and unload it. It will probably go even higher come spring time. This chip shortage will improve slowly, so the used market will remain strong for a while.

C8s will take 9-12 month at this point, maybe longer once they start Z06 production, which is supposed to be 25% of C8 production. Some of the C8 guys only recently took delivery, of their 2020 C8s and now the 2022 production will be short and 2023 will start soon. They only had the car 9 months and it will be 3 model years old come Spring, crazy.

Not as crazy, but just sold mine for just about what I paid for it new in 2019. The new MT’s seem to be going for a couple grand more now than what they were a little over a year ago.

If I were you I would sell it, used car market will go way down in the next year or 2 once supply chains are back to normal . At that point you will be selling it as a 3-5 year old car (6-8 year old platform) in a low of the market so will be taking a hit.

Who knows if the price of gas goes up/down by then but if gas does go way up that might contribute to difficulties too, especially if there is crazy electric rebates and some fast electric cars out then.

Sold it on Vroom for 4000 more then I paid for it 3 years ago 14000 miles I put on it.
I just retired going to get a cheaper fun car in the spring

Heck no. It’s purely a pleasure vehicle for me. For fun I keep an eye on its worth. Sticker was $46k back in September 2016.
