Just purchased the Z/28.R

I have been a big fan of the Camaro owning a couple 2010 camaro that I supercharged to the 2015 Z/28 street car to a 2017 ZL1. I have been following the sales of the General Motors backed Pratt Miller and BlackDog Speed shop Camaro's and when I saw it on bring a trailer I had to get the last one that was going up for sale. The other BlackDog Speedshop Z/28.R was raced this summer after pruchased and did really well in SCCA T1.

I took the car out at my local track, Apex Motor Club and drives extremely well. The Motec in the car with the laptop provides all the data you would ever need. I am extremely impressed with the car right now and glad I had the opportunity to buy it. I will be posting footage this coming Saturday on the shake down of the car at the track. I also just did my first race with the car yesterday and had zero problems.

Follow on youtube to see the next couple videos coming up over the next couple weeks on the car. Here is an intro of what I have in my garage now and touching on the Z/28.R (Youtube Charlie Ferer)

Awesome purchase, I was going to bid on the BD shop car but it was pretty apparent you were in for the win, congrats!

Thank you for not bidding me up more LOL...I still feel that was a great price on the car. Ray at BlackDog Speedshop has been amazing to work with. They took the restrictor off for me and had their tuner tune the car and ran a 517 rwhp. I will run it at our local track in the GT series there. Car and me with fuel weighed in at 3,541 (I weigh about 200LBS with race suit). This puts me in GT2 class (3,540 divide by rwhp we assume will be 440 = 8.04 and you must be 8.0 or higher for GT2 class).

Cool vid Charlie, nice bikes and cars! I have a 16' KTM 350 SX-F and a couple older 2 strokes (96 CR125 & 00 KX125) as well. MX and dirt bikes in general is such a great time.

Sub'd on YT!

That video was insane. I was heavy into MX in the 80's and 90's. I was hoping you'd have one of the "works" Hondas from 82-84 with those alloy tanks. Watching you walk by that McGrath bike and not even give it a mention make me chuckle! I'm glad you race and enjoy them as intended! Just an amazing collection of bikes and cars!

Thank you and glad you like the bikes! Those were some great times and we are blessed be raised in that time! Unfortunately no works bikes from that time. Those are hard to come by. They are usually still with the manufacturer or if someone was able to get them they will not be selling them. The 1992 Peak Honda CR 500 does have an aluminum tank. I just powder coated three more aluminum tanks for 1997 CR 500, 1999 KX 500 and the 1986 CR 250. Trying to save the original tanks since they are hard to keep looking new when riding and impossible to replace. I will save those for the future when I sell those bikes so the tanks will be in excellent condition.
