Coolant tank low

Anyone else's coolant level low? Why would I be missing so much coolant if I don't have any on my garage floor?

Not sure, but realize there is the top reservoir and the little pop off cap to fill the one below that only gets filled halfway.

Same. Added. I figure it is burping a little.

Will a compression test reveal if I'm having major issues? I've had my oil pump fail and the dealership said the engine was fine. Now after about 7k miles my car is drinking coolant apparently.

Perform a leak down test... check your oil is antifreeze getting in? if so it would be muddy looking. Is there any smoke out the tailpipe? If none of the above, is there any coolant leaking on the ground?

I'll have to check my oil. It does not smoke. No coolant on the ground.

you must give specifics about the amount required to fill your coolant tank and how often this occurs...

That's a good idea. I'll add some tomorrow and I guess monitor how much I lose. Do you think it's a good idea to do it myself or bring it in so they can document that I'm missing a bunch of coolant?

You can add some coolant to your ZL1! No problem just keep a check after you do and take it in to the dealership if it still is losing coolant. Take a before and after pic with your phone of the tank before you add coolant and after you add so you will have proof for the service dept if you have to take it in.

That's a great idea. Thank you

Make sure you read your owners manual about this very carefully. The process is different depending if the top tank has some fluid or if its completely empty.

Get an ADM reservoir mounted above the supercharger circuit and you don't have to worry about air in the system

It evaporates. I would say the car needs about 100-200 ml per 1000-2000, depending on climate and how you drive.
