Yeah, but if you pay retail for one..... ANY American car, really.

My ZR2 stickered at $51k after the accessories. I walked out for $39,7xx.

I don't pay MSRP either, but it's always a starting point that is relative (usually) to what you end up paying.

12K off a 51K vehicle, no incentives? That's some deal.

That's pretty impressive, if true. My GM employee discount hasn't reached anywhere near that level of discount.

This forum has some MSRP price breakdowns.

Starts with MSRP, then dealer price, then discount prices, then employee prices, then wholesale prices.

Sometimes one or two price types overlap or switch places, but generally the order of most expensive to cheapest.

Usually even if you are getting employee pricing you are still overpaying for what it cost.
