Switching to DTC-60
I am going to give the Hawk DTC-60 pads a try. Anyone have experience with switching to these on used rotors? Wondering if I should get the rotors lightly turned or just scuff them up when switch from OEM compound.

i have hawk dtc60 on my 1ss but i have a bbk on my car i just had the shop install them and they used some sandpaper and washed the rotors off before install

I'm running DTC60 now, swapped on OE rotors, and no issues so far. After bedding in they are quieter. I'm hitting Mid Ohio sports car course in a few weeks. I expect them to become louder after.

Great pads, but like all high friction pads they will roast some of your dust boots. Recommend running Ti shims unless you don't care. I just did a rebuild of my calipers after 60 track days with vented pistons and high temp boots and glad I did.

Highly recommend those titanium shims and the big front air deflectors. When are you going to Laguna? There's a 103db day in September I'll be at, think it's the 5th. |
