Magnuson 2650?

Haven't been lurking around the forums in a while. Are we any closer to the Magnuson 2650 being available to purchase yet?

laynlo15 03-11-2019 06:03 AM

We are getting closer. Hoping for early May and I know everybody is waiting but we have to make sure its all good and ready to ship so the customer has no issues and easy install. I'm waiting for one also, but I'll get mine after all the orders are filled for customers. I know its hard to be patient but it will be worth the wait.

Good to hear. Are they still going to offer both the under hood and exposed?

I think so but under hood for sure. I don't have any pricing or exact date yet.

whats biggest difference between 2300 and 2650

laynlo15 03-12-2019 01:05 PM

Obviously size, but where your limited on the 2300 for max power which is probably in the 900 rwhp range, (my 2300 made 801/791 recently) the 2650 will let you make more power and be much more efficient getting there on lower boost levels. Plus it will work very well on larger cubic inch displacements and run much lower IAT's then the 2300 at higher boost levels. It will probably be a little more expensive then the 2300 and will still fit under your hood of your Camaro as well as the C7 which we had a SEMA.

:thumb:this maybe the best and in the long run cheapest way to put 575hp to the ground without over taxing motor

laynlo15 03-14-2019 06:05 AM

That would be very easy.

You don't need the 2650 if you're just looking to put down 575rwhp. Mine put down 568/567 on 93 with the mods in my signature. Just the slightest taste of e85 or a slightly happier dyno would get me over 575. For reference, a bone stock a10 zl1 put down 542 on the same dyno, 5 minutes after my last pull.

You are correct, 550 is pretty standard with the 2300 on 7 lbs of boost.

Might want to wait until it actually comes out... ;)

Is it worth to change from Whipple 2.9 to Meggi 2.65? Now, my car hit 800rwhp, but want little bit more.

You can eek some more power out of your existing Whipple. You’re not maxed out yet.
