New member.. Pulled trigger on a ZL1 1LE
 

Hey everyone,

New member here on the board but not to car forums in general. Wanted to introduce myself.

I just bought a 2018 ZL1 1LE M6 after sourcing it down in Salinas CA. Worked the deal and brought her home with 9k miles. ZERO defects whatsoever. So far the car is an absolute monster. I'm in love with the car for real. It isn't a daily driver and it shouldn't be one as after about a month with this car and about 1000 miles it's truly a racecar with a radio.....

This is actually my SECOND 1LE car. My first was a 1995 Quasar blue metallic 1LE before the 1LE was even really a thing.... Production numbers on 1LE cars were 106 units in 1995 WORLDWIDE. And I converted it to a 9 second drag car with the stock block. Ran it till 2011 when I got divorced I parted it out.... ****ed around with lifted trucks for about two years and then bought a 2012 Diamond White Cadillac CTS-V with the supercharged LSA in 2015.... Kept the car until 2018 and then sold it to buy my girl a more dependable commuter.... It was then I was carless for the first time in my life and it started to affect me not having something around to tinker with. So I started my search for my second 1LE car... And found it.....

Plans call for a Cold air induction, long tubes, flex fuel conversion, thermostat, and a Borla exhaust. At that point i'll assess whether or not I want to max out the stock blower or throw a Magnusson on it..... we'll see.... I will drag race the damn thing first since that's just what I do, but I also live near Sonoma Raceway soooooooo i MAY bring it out there and see what she's got....

I think I recognize your 4th gen from LS1tech, were you on that forum often?

If you haven't had your new ZL1 on a road course yet your missing out by not doing so. Get a track alignment on the stock car and hit the track. It's an absolute monster in stock form and extremely addictive.
