Looking for a good Chevy dealer service center in MA
I’m trying to find a good (at least decent) Chevy dealer in MA, that treats their cars in for service right. I used to use a dealer in RI for my last Camaro, but they were fair at best. One technician took good care of it every time it was there, but he’s gone. Any other time it went there, it came back with paint chips on the driver’s door edge, or scrapes and scuffs on the inside of the door and footwell plastics. My current 2018 2SS Hot Wheels 50th, will be going in cars shows, so I’m trying to find a dealer service center, not too far from Foxboro/Mansfield/Attleboro, MA area, that treats their customer’s cars right. It will just go there for oil changes, warranty work if needed, and inspection stickers. Any info would be greatly appreciated. It needs an oil change and inspection sticker. Thank you in advance!

Having worked as a tech at a dealership in the past I don't trust most. Marty's Chevrolet in Bourne is where I purchased my car and have been impressed by the service department there from front end to back, there is one mechanic that deals with Camaro and Corvette only and he's damn good IMHO. Marty's is a satellite of Marty's GMC in Kingstown but is a small operation in comparison and very personal. Cape Cod is nice this time of the year, Marty's is right over the Bourne Bridge.

Hi Joe,
I’m not quite sure where you are in MA if you’re 55 miles from Bourne, but if you’re in the Northshore area I can highly recommend Sudbay Chevrolet in Gloucester. I custom ordered my 16 2SS from them as well as my current 2020 Caddy CT5 V. They are a small family run dealership. They have always done right by me with zero drama. Their service department has been great. |

It's not a Camaro but if you go to Find a Dealer on Chevy's website you can filter on Corvette Certified dealers. Try to find one that's a Corvette Signature dealer, they have some required training for people in the service departments. Close as you'll get to competence and I haven't had a problem with the one I use.

I got my camaro from Central Chevrolet in Springfield. That dealer is pretty big from what I can remember. No service experience with them coz that was 2 hours hike from where I am at. I go to Colonial Chevrolet in Dartmouth since that's the closest to me. Though one time mine started leaking oil coz the filter was installed loosely.

OP sorry for the slight thread hijack...

I will say I'm a bit sour on Colonial's sales department. They promised me an allocation back in Feb., never gave me any updates on my '21 2SS order unless I contacted them first, didn't know that the plant had closed for so long or why it had been shut down (chips), and then when I knew my order had been cancelled by GM in June they said that it was still on to be produced. Took them two weeks to refund my deposit. The general manager told me I would receive 2 free oil changes when I finally get my car (ordered from Joe @ Team Becky this time) when I expressed my displeasure...I'm just not sure if I want to take him up on it or just go to Marty's. |
Ok so far. They do a quick walkaround check for dents/scratches etc when you check in. Had two warranty work done with them and they've been good with that. Had leather piping peeling on passenger seat and fingerprint smudge within the rearview mirror for some reason. Both were replaced and covered by warranty.

I never go to the dealer. They're all awful. My local speed shop has resigned themselves to the fact that they're doing the occasional oil change for me. |
