Any 2019 Camaro A8 or A10 Shudder?

This thread might be too soon of a post but has anyone with a 2019 A8 for the LS, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT or anyone with the A10 with the 2019 SS, 2SS trims have had the transmission shudder occur?

Does anyone know if GM has fixed the tune for the torque converter for 2019 model years with the A8 transmission?

(Yes I do know that the only 2019 models with the A10 available are the SS trims and the ZL1, otherwise all other trims are A8 if people do not choose to get a manual).

Thank you very much for anyone who will be able to give insight.

From everything I've seen and heard, they have not fixed the issue for the A8. But ill be curious as well to hear if others have heard differently

A recap on the A8 issues:

First - GM/Al Oppenheimer stated some cars were getting bad fluids at the factory which caused the shudder. The torque converter clutch was becoming burnished and damaged and would eventually need replacement. The fix was to do a triple flush with auto fluid and send you on your way.

Second - If you still had a shudder after the triple flush, you received a new TCC because it means your clutch became too damaged/burnished to operate correctly.

Third - Late last year they stated to dealers to halt all new TCC replacements due to shudder as they found even the new TCC's are still burnishing. They said they will have a fix by Q12019. They now have the new TSB 18-NA-355 in which there is now a new fluid to be used along with some sort of flushing machine/kit. The previous Mobil 1 fluid was too hydroscopic and was holding too much water and ruins the properties of the fluid and caused the damage/burnishing. The new fluid, Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP, is supposed to not hold onto the water and come off through heat as originally intended. Part numbers for the fluid are 19417904 for 55 gallon drum and 19417577 for quarts. All dealers should have the tools/fluids by March 2019.

So now we have to wait as see if that truly is the root cause and if this new fluid resolves the issue.

There will no "true" fix for the A8...they will milk it as long as they can until the A8 gets replaced by either the 9 speed in some vehicles or the 10 speed in others.

I have a copy of TSB 16-NA-175 that includes Camaros with Trans RPO M5T and M5U that states this: Service Procedure - Important: Requires Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF DEXRON HP (GM Part No. 19353429, in Canada 19353430).

The TSB was dated Feb 27, 2017. Does anyone have a GM Part number on the supposedly new fluid?

EDIT: Sorry, the GM part number for the new fluid is 19417577. Missed it.

Thoughts?

Bill

Your vehicle has to be experiencing the shutter or they will not replace the fluid just because the new fluid is out. The dealerships did not get the new fluid until January from what I was told.

I did have the shudder in September October 2017 and they used GM Part No. 19353429 to do the flush and not the 19417577.

Mine was done in November with the same and the shudder has not come back, yet.

Took my 2017 Camaro SS in to chevrolet for a trans flush today and they said the "new" fluid came in that should fix the shudder. I will give you guys an update later to see how it turns out.

Any update?

My 18 SS had the shudder back in April. I had the new fluid flush done. Now a little over 2K miles later, the car is still fixed. No more shudder at least for now.
