2017 Krypton SS 1LE
 

We had no plans to buy another Camaro this soon. I was disappointed when I found out the 1LE wouldn't be offered in a 2SS. Then, I read they would be available in the 2018 model which gave me something to look forward to. I wanted to check out the Recaro seats just to see how I liked them, so I did a search for local 1LEs and came across one that was Krypton Green. My wife and I decided to check it out with just plans to sit in it to see if we liked it. Well, once she saw the color in person, she was in love. I knew Chevy was dropping the color for 2018. The car was on the showroom floor, so they knew it was special. I didn't think they'd come off msrp much, but we made an offer anyway. Long story short, we brought it home.

Installed the GM dark tail lamps and the ZL1 1LE third brake light today.

Congrats, really like that color.

Installed the Diode Dynamics tinted led side markers today. My iPhone doesn't do a good job of capturing how good they actually look.

Like trading in my 6 month old for one. And I know where one is right now.

Yeah, had the same issue.. Bought a '16 2SS in April of 16 and then a '17 ZL1 in April of 17.

Guess I'll have to get an '18 in April of 18.

If you can swing it, why not.

Had a great few days of racing including NCM Motorsports Park on Thursday and CamaroFest 7 Friday and Saturday. The 1LE did an amazing job on the track. I just need to work on me a bit.

Jim Kalahar, Camaro Program Manager, presented me with a Camaro Team Choice award. He said he fought hard to get the Kyrpton Green and he loves seeing people use the Camaro's for what they were designed to do. I also took second place in the stock V8 drag racing class. So close to winning, but couldn't find traction in the finals and ran my worst time of the weekend. I was also a finalist in the CamaroCross autocross, but had to forfeit since I couldn't be in two places at once. I made it to the semi finals in the bracket racing.

Using a Gen5diy harness, I added the Homelink to the 1LE a few days ago.

What a color...

I thought mine was bright. I had Synergy green last 4 years (see my garage). Love the green.

How hard was the home link install? Pop off and plug and play?

Also did yours come with the dark tail lights or did you add?

With the harness from Gen5diy, it was plug and play. Very simple to pop the old one off and snap the new one in place.
