FYI
if TSP = Texas Speed Performance, then your website needs updating. There are NO torque converters listed for the Gen 6.

Gen 5, yes.
Gen 6, No.

What's weird is that Circle D doesn't even list a converter for the 8L90 on their website..but yet Brett (Pray) has one.

Go Circle D!! I have one in my 5th Gen and do 1.42/1.44 60fts at the track.

I have a Circle D 4C sitting right here waiting to go in my 6th Gen. Correct, the 8L90 converters aren't on their website, but they do make and sell them!

Is the Circle D unit a full billet piece or are they still cutting stock units? I'm shocked Yank hasn't released anything yet.

Circle D doesn't have pre-made torque converters just sitting around. They make them specifically for your car based upon mods.
You get a 2 year warranty, also during the first 2 years, if you add anything to your car that requires a higher stall, you just pay to have it shipped, and they change it, no parts or labor costs.
Also while running a looser converter, a transmission cooler is cheap insurance to keep your transmission running good for years.

Mine works for me. 1.44 60fts with just bolt ons.

chris made me the first 2 8l90 converters for my car.. yes they are worth every penny. 1.40 60fts for me. i know he requires you to send in your conveter for a core. idk if thats still the case or not.

You should pick up at least a half a second of ET with the right converter. They have always been great 'bang for the buck' mods. I picked up .3 in the 60' going from a Yank Stealth Thruster 2800 to a Yank SS4000 (1.7x to 1.4x). Picked up .6 in the quarter from 12.20 to 11.60. That was in my 99 LS swapped Camaro.

Those days are long gone. Expect no more than .2 to possibly .3 with any converter. I would only put a Circle D in my car or any customer cars. Best company going by far IMHO.

You will drop about .1-.15 off your 60ft. With 5 forward gears now and how pretty darn good the stock converter is it is hard to realize the gains like back in the 3 speed days. The biggest benefit for me was the daily driving and normal acceleration stuff. The car just completely woke up. It is truly a joy to drive now.

Can you expand a little on how it woke up the car? I have a Maggie on my SS with the A8 and running the stock tune and have a ported T/B. What would the seat of the pants test be like? Thanks for the help.

Yes please explain or do you have any Youtube links that help us to understand? I daily drive this car so it still needs to run fine on the streets.
