Where are all the ZL1"s?

Interesting. Since purchasing my previous SS 1LE in April of 2017, I've probably seen only 3 or 4 on the road. Now that I have the ZL1, I actually don't think I've seen another one since I bought the 1LE in 2017.

Where are they? Is it the same where you guys live?

They arent that super common of a car. Go to the race track youll see a good collection of them there.

I have only seen 3, and one belongs to Phastek I believe.

There were 3 ZLEs at Road Atlanta a couple weeks ago. Mine wasn't one of them, unfortunately. Still trying to get through break-in, and the weather isn't cooperating.

I have only seen about 4 in the past 2 years in my hometown. That doesn’t include mine and one member in the Firebird and Camaro club which I’m a member has a 2015 5th gen ZL1. The number of ZL1s and ZL1 1LEs produced are limited as compared to the other Camaro models.

I've only seen a couple where I am, will say kind of like it that way.

There are 3 in Savanna and another 2 in the Meadows, 1 in the Ridges. That I know of... I ceramic coated 2 of them, they are all over the place. I think there are more ZL1's here than SS's
You need to get out more, LOL

I bought my ZLE in November of 2018 and I live in Los Angeles and travel all over Southern California on a daily basis--I commute on the 405, the largest and busiest LA freeway (in a 2020 MDX). There are more limited production sports cars on the roads here than anywhere else in the country, year round thanks to weather.

In 15+ months I have only seen 2 other ZLEs on the street, a few more ZL1s. I've seen many more of both at the track though. I've seen multiple examples of other much rarer and more expensive cars like GT3 RS, 720S, 488, Huracan, etc. People with means choose other cars, like 911, Corvette, M3/4, AMG, Hellcat, GT350, etc. I'm glad, but still surprised.

Counting mine, I know of ten 6 gen ZL1s cruising around central Ohio roads.

They are super rare. When I go to Cars and Coffee in Albuquerque, there are more Lambos, Ferraris, and Porsche GT cars than ZL-1's. Actually, mine is the only one I have ever seen there.

I've seen maybe 2 on the road, and the Chevy dealer I have mine serviced at says my ZL-1 is the only one that comes in for service.

I've seen around 3 other ZL1 1LE's in the past month but i live in Houston and its pretty big car community.

I saw quite a few when I lived in NY, but not a one here. Well, except for the one in my garage.:)

mspeed1LE 03-03-2020 03:08 PM

The only time I've seen any other ZLE's was at Camarofest IX :D and I passed one on my trip back home driving through Nevada.

Walkure 03-03-2020 03:12 PM

I've had my ZL1 since June of 17. Since then I have seen 2 ZL1's and 1 ZL1 vert in addition to mine. No ZLE's. I've been to a couple of car shows and only saw 1 other 6th Gen and it was an SS.
