APEX ARC8 19x11 ET 11 and ET 43 on 2022 Camaro 1LE
A local person is selling his Apex ARC 8 19x11 wheels from his 6th gen ZL1.
Will they fit my 2022 1LE without issue, especially the fronts? 19 x 11 ET 11 (front) 19 x 11 ET 43 (rear) Thanks |
Yes, but I don't get why people go for non-rotatable square setups. That's the whole point of going square, otherwise just get ZLE sized wheels and tires, which would be 19x12 out back.
You can get 19x11 et 35 and use a spacer + longer wheel studs up front and then you can rotate. I do have a set of Anthractite Apex SM-10s w/spacer and studs I'd let got for $1200 if you're interested. I decided to go with ZLE sizes. |

The local guy (3 to 3.5 hour drive one-way) is offering me his set at a "decent" price of $1100. There is another local guy (20 min drive) who has a set of ARC 8 in Antherite off a 5th gen Camaro - they are 19x11 et 11 and 19x12 et 41 with 305/30/19 Michelin PS4 tires all around, near new. Should I be concerned with them coming from a 5th gen? Lug spacing, hub spacing and offsets seem to match our cars? |

They are 325/30/19 PS4S in rear. Just curious why would your choice be this set? He is selling wheels with tires (claims they are near new) for $2350. My car is Satin Steel |

The car's electronics will be a little happier to see smaller diameter front tires, and imo the car works best with the widest rear tires possible, especially for autox or track. Maybe offer $2k if you come pick them up... :) |

Additional negative camber is required up front. We recommend at least -2.75* - If equipped with MRC, a 3mm spacer or grinding of the strut is needed if you dial in camber via the factory adjustment. If you use camber plates with MRC, no spacer/grinding is needed Does this mean I need to grind my front MRC shocks to give the 19x11 et11 enough clearance? |

I assumed you're looking into this for autox or track use, that's why most people look into wider wheels and square setups. If it's for a daily I'd stick with OEM SS 1LE sizes, they are overkill for street use as-is. |

Looks like I may need a 3mm spacer out front to clear the MRC shocks. What happens if I do not adjust the camber ~2 degrees? |

If I didn't have camber plates, I'd max out stock camber, so ~2.5, do a strut grind, and then add 3mm spacers if needed. |

You can expect to have to grind the strut and/or add a 3mm spacer with ZLE wheels on an SLE... You'll just have to test it out and see what works. |
If you leave at -2 camber and add the 3mm spacer, you'll likely clear the strut just fine. HOWEVER, you will have more poke at the top of your tire. Under compression, there's greater chance of fender contact. It might not happen because the stiffness of the suspension but since our cars can get more camber and with the added performance/tire life benefit, why wouldn't you max out?
I am at -2.6 up front with just a strut grind and rund 19x11 et9. No rub. |

Thought I'd resurrect a thread from the dead with some additional info.
Picked up a set of (Brand new but second hand) SM-10 -- 19x11 ET11 and 19x12 ET41. The car is stock other than Vorshlag plates with -3.5 front and -1.5 rear. I've previously cleared the struts for 18 x 11 ET35 track wheels. The fronts fit fine with the clearaned strut. Lock to Lock seems fine. |
