http://www.speedventures.com/

anybody sign up or planning on any events yet??

want to go back to fontana aka acs again and i heard they just redid big willow so want to get there this year also!!

I hope to make it to several SV events, but I haven't picked any dates yet. I am most interested in Big Willow and Chuckawalla, since I haven't run the Camaro at those tracks yet, and I've never driven Chuck at all.

probably hit up acs first maybe in later feb or may or and then figure out rest later

need to get brake fluid flushed soon and then check my alignment and car should be good

They just repaved Big Willow? I know they are doing that on the kart track. Didn't know about Big Willow.

Just checked, Guess this week and next week Big Willow is closed for repairs. Wow, Will be nice to drive on a smoother surface. I hope they get that bump out of Turn 8.

yea but the last they "paved" it it was just a slick top coating and it didnt have as much grip for a few months and losing grip on big willow can be scary especially turn 8-10

One of my friends doesn't like SV because he said there are always too many people. Last year I attended 2 SV events and my friend is right. However, I think SV event is really well organized and I do like the fact they will set the sequence of going out based on lap time, which can really give you more clean laps. So I plan to attend more SV events this year

It varies with SV. Sometimes their events aren't well-subscribed, and then it isn't crowded on the track. And I haven't seen it stay crowded on a Sunday afternoon.

I've driven at Chuckwalla once with NASA and it's a fun tack. And that track has great pavement. The only problem is the closest hotel is 1 hour away. I lived in Indio the night before track day.

Really? I plan to go to Big Willow next Friday. What you said scares me. Maybe I should keep traction control on all the time:iono:

I still think you're wasting your time by not coming out to an American Muscle Cup day with extreme speed. I completely agree that speed ventures runs a decent track day, but you're mixing it up with random people and they have nothing that the Camaro can compete in. Private AMC sessions are worlds better than any other local option, even if you have to deal with a bit of the extreme speed disorganization.
