What did you do to your 6th Gen Camaro today?!

As title suggests, this thread will be for 2016 Camaro owners to post pics what they worked on today, show off what they have done to their car recently, etc. Share and it might inspire some ideas for others to do on their Camaro's too.

So, what did you do to your 6th Gen today?

brutusvk 01-14-2016 09:41 PM

Took her in for an oil change. (600 miles lol)

SSport16 01-14-2016 09:47 PM

Polished it, getting ready for some Crystal Seal tomorrow.

Not today but added the window tinting to her. Before and after pictures.

i007spectre 01-14-2016 10:37 PM

Dropped it of at the dealership so they can check into rattling butterfly valves in my exhaust and install some splash guards.

What % is that tint. Looks perfect.

BowtieV8 01-14-2016 11:57 PM

Would it be horribly unreasonable to request that people only post worthwhile stuff on this thread? Or at least add pics if you do waste our time with something dumb? I loved the Camaro5 version of this, but I would absolutely hate when people would just post stuff like, "Looked at her" or "Drove it" or "put gas in it..." so on and so on.

No one cares about stupid stuff like that. You all have beautiful cars. We want to see them. Add pics. We don't care if you put air in the tires. We care what the rims look like on your color and model combination. Show us.

Moved the SS badge off the bumper and put it on the deck lid. Bow tie gone no room.

Nice what did that cost ? Was that direct from Chevy or another source ?

huggercamaro21 01-15-2016 07:20 AM

I got tinting done. 20 percent on the side, limo on the rear. Looks perfect. Will have pictures later.

That's one upgrade I would like to do. What was the cost? Was the work done at your dealership?

I don't know how I feel about the badge position because the taillights kinda clashes with the badge IMO so idk but to each their own .

Well I ordered them with the car and they come in the trunk. They are dealer installed and the dealer wanted to install them. I installed them at my dealer, I work at a Toyota dealer LOL:iono:

Since I work for Penske, i got everything at GM employee price, but the Brake option was $3175 from Chevrolet. When I ordered my car pricing was not available. I did find them here:http://www.shopchevyparts.com/perfor...-92286463.html

As far as the braking.... it is ridiculous! I want to powder coat the rear calipers red now; so they match the fronts:bonk:

I can't complain much :D . The only thing that gets to me a bit is the Hurricane Season. I guess I got used to it and we have been very lucky these past years.

They have announced a black "glow tie" but I don't think it's on the order sheet yet.

I want this too. But its not yet available thru GM, yet. I've been bugging my dealer practically every day. For now, I just settled for the BLACK bowties w/o illumination.

I also ordered the brake option and plan to make the rear calipers match the front. I would be interested to hear what you end up doing and see some pictures.

I like what you did here and plan to follow your lead. I ordered a 2SS in mosaic black with the adrenaline red interior, black 5 spokes with black SS wheel centers, black bow ties, 6 piston brembo brakes, mrc, npp and link /Nav.
Initially I will leave the front bow tie because of the humongous back mounting plate underneath. I need to figure out what to do there. I think the car would have cleaner look without the front bow tie but as far as I can tell, if I removed it the back plate is still there attached to the grill. That wouldn't be very attractive. It kind of sucks that I don't have the car yet, so it is possible I have misconstrued details about the front bow tie and how it mounts to the grill.

Thank you, sir. I really like how it looks now. Now just waiting for the GM lowering kit for the MRC equipped cars. Hopefully, sooner than later.
