Why DIDN'T you buy a GT500?
Just trying to strum up some conversation, I know the interior visibility in our cars isn't the best, but the reason I didn't go with a GT500 is because the interior was like going back in time. And the chassis left a lot to be desired.

Cause it's a mustang.

The ZL1 has better Sound, looks, price, TR6060 6MT, chassis, reliable proven powertrain, and way better interior. Heated and cooled Recaros (it is either or in the GT500) So, pretty much everything.

I already owned my 2018 ZL-1 for a couple of years when the GT500 came out. I have been more than satisfied with my ownership experience and never intend to sell the car.
I go to Cars and Coffee and see GT500s and so many other more expensive cars of all makes and models, and I just don't see the Final Price Out The Door value proposition with most of them, along with the additional maintenance costs on some exotics. I'm glad people buy up all these cars and I can see them. I know what I got, and I'm very happy with my car. But I have other pursuits and responsibilities pertaining to surviving the upcoming struggle. No place for another car. |
Cost. The GT500 is quite a bit more money vs when I bought my ZL1 is 2019

I had one, just not the last iteration. I've owned 5 Mustangs over the years, the first was a 1969 Mach I (wish I would have kept that one).
The prices of the last gen are coming down to the point they've caught my interest a bit. |
No stick.

And they are attracted to crowds and light/power poles for some reason?
|
While I respect the car, I don't especially trust Fords for reliability.

Because Mustangs have sprayed-on steel cylinder lin
ers and consume mass quantities of oil, plus what's more beautiful than a ZL1 Camaro? |
