What are you guys doing in states that require front license plate

I live in Texas and the front plate is required. I don't want to, but I also don't want to be able to be pulled over anytime a police officer sees me. Any solutions, besides move?

Mine stays in the glove box in IL. I have lived in IL since 1990 and have received one $25 ticket in that time.

Can you put in on the dash to avoid being pulled over?

I'm wondering the same here in Colorado front is required - mine won't be a DD so I was contemplating just putting on the dashboard...IDK.

Maybe the sto-n-show is an option, but my concern is also airflow but maybe it shouldn't be.

In Florida, there is no front plate, but I drove in NY (where there is a front plate) for years and never had an issue. It is not a moving violation, and a pretty cheap, like $50 ticket in most states. What I did was take the extra plate, and bend and damage it, along with the bracket and I kept it in a bag in my trunk when I was in NY. My plan if I got pulled over for it was to tell the cop I was backed into in a parking lot, and am waiting for a new bracket and such. :D

Putting it in the windshield is still a violation, as it is not in the correct place and could be an issue in an accident.

I got tags from a non front plate state just to avoid the fines and all the other problems with police.

In ohio, it's the law. You have to have it mounted on the front.
I really don't want to risk it.
I got real nice tinted license plate covers for both the front and back plates. It looks better than the standard BRIGHT white plates.
Hey, anything to hide those things, I'm all in!!

I left mine off until a kit comes out. Wasn't going to drill and rivet into the lower part of the grill.

I plan on zip tying it or not running one until the hideaway holders come out.

Definitely not ruining the front and putting it on. I've never used a front plate except for the 14 two year lease as the dealership decided to drill holes in the bumper and add it while I was signing paperwork. They were shocked that I actually stood there and told them that I'm not sure if I still want the car now that you've drilled holes in the bumper.

They went on to say that they are required by law to put the front plate on all passenger cars. It just so happened that there was another guy purchasing a Corvette and I pointed to his car asking if they plan on putting a front plate on the vette. After some back and forth and some lies (the Corvette isn't a passenger car), they conceded that they should have asked and I took the deal.

All of my other cars ran in NJ without a front plate. It helped me at least twice in NJ as I was pulled over in a Corvette for something unrelated and the officer was kind enough to just give a front plate ticket/fine both times rather than a moving violation or any points. I was much younger and much more indestructible back then lol.

I do not anticipate any problems without the front plate and reiterated multiple times please leave it off this time. Getting a 2SS and may keep this car for a while so no to the front plate!

If it does become a problem, there will be aftermarket "clips" as with the gen5.

If I EVER needed a front plate, this is what I would do:

Thats a cool product.

I left the front plate off my vette for years and the only time it was a problem was parking at meters in downtown denver. I received a few $20 tickets.

This hide the plate product might solve the parking meter scenario.

Two of my vets had no front plate, never got stopped and my 3rd on did. Just got lucky I guess. I'll have one on my 16 also. Just the way it is.

Instead of "risking" the ticket, I would get that. Don't have to be THE exact thing as I don't think they are even in business anymore lol. You can just type "hide the plate" on amazon and there are A LOT of products, motorized AND manual than you can buy. Manual ones are only 35 bucks (prime) and a very simple bolt on job which I think requires drilling the under tray.

"Show N Go plates" is another search parameter too.
