How would you describe the ZL1/1LE

I was thinking the other day ! If I was a writer of a magazine, how would I describe the ZL1/1LE ? I think it deserves more attention, so here it is !

The ZL1/1LE is Three cars in one ! It's a newer improvement over the previous generation of a ZL1, it's the leg/ suspension of the Z28, and the heart/engine of a Z06 ! If you like all three, but can't make up your mind park this in your garage !

Many call it a tuner with that big wing.

A rocket ship for the slightly deranged.

Well sadly I think it showcases GM, Chevy, and team Camaro's engineering and development prowess at the expense of many people not fully understanding what they are buying. There's no free lunch in this game; the closer you gravitate towards race car performance...the closer you get to race car problems. Ask all the Corverte wide body owners just how much they love bending rims and replacing them. For most people's lives a GM sports car was a street car that performed ok on the track...now a GM sports car is a pseudo race car that performs ok the street and many people don't fully understand what that means.

I would totally daily drive the 1LE. I ended up with a base model to keep my wife happy, but you paint a pretty sad picture. I think MOST people who get a 1LE know EXACTLY what they are getting into.

It also make a difference if the ZL1 1LE is your only car. Sometimes you want to drive the race car and then sometimes you want to take the SUV to the grocery store. Right tool for the job.

My 1LE is my daily and my 9 year-olds love it as much as I do...Before Ford bought my GT back, the Camaro was in our garage and they would grown...do we have to go to school in the snail??? Yes the suspension is firm, yes I had to put on all seasons for the winter, and yes I’d do it all again.

Flame on dudes...guess I’m more than slightly deranged

Revalot 11-22-2018 03:51 PM

I think the car is fantastic !

Isn’t it nice to have so many options with these cars?
There’s an ass for every seat!

Travis104 11-22-2018 06:04 PM

How does it compare to a c7 Z06?

Neighbor took m to Phoenix in his to get my camaro.

Ride: angry roller coaster
Sound: 100 cats doing the ugly. All at once

I was shocked at the RPM he ran in 6th at 80. Looked over a couple times and was asking if he was in 5th.

Good GOD the TQ...
