Hey everyone. I just bought a 19 zl1 1le does anyone do car's and coffee? Any Camaro meet up drive groups?

Beautiful Z! Yes there is a local WNY Camaro club here, Upsate Camaro5 Buffalo. You can find us on FB at Western New York Camaro generations group, mostly 5th and 6th gens. We have a couple ZL1 1LE’s in our group! We do cars shows, cruise nights, road trips, Watkins Glen, etc. would love to see your Camaro in person!

You can take a look at it anytime man. I have been out a bit the last couple weeks. Trying to get the first 1500 out of the way so I can track the car.

I know the roads are crap etc. but I have to travel a bit in May so the track day in june 19th.

That cover pic was from the GM show at the Lockport (Harrison Radiator) plant last year. Look up MrWyndham here on the forum. He has a ZLE that he tracks quite a bit. He helps to run the Camaro Fest every year down in Bowling Green. They are having a 2 day HPDE at the Corvette Museum track there. I think he's also doing Watkins Glen in September. That is a beast of a car you have there! I suggest you do some local autocross races to get your feet wet with that car. The first one is at New Era field in April. Have you ever raced before?

Thanks for the autocross date in april. I won't be able to go it as the car won't be broken in yet. I have race a bunch before.

Hey guys, I would like to join as well. This is my second 2019. The first was a lemon and was replaced by GM. 4k miles so far since March and no issues with this one....

I used to race MX in Silver Springs. That was an awesome track!

Do you plan on doing any racing with your car this year? A bunch of us are headed out to PA on Sunday just over the border for an autocross. It's 65 miles from Buffalo.

I assume you are talking about Lake Erie Speedway. Hoping to also make it up Sunday with another member on here and we are trying to convince our buddy with his Mustang to come get smoked. How many guys are coming with you?

Supposed to also have my friend Nick come with his '67 Chevy II but he had some issues come up. There's about 8 of the regular "points" guys from WNY heading up as well. They had a test-n-tune today and ran the course opposite of what it will be tomorrow. They have a map posted online.

You ran a 31.626 to my 31.643! Beat me by .017! The black Z06 was 2nd and that baby blue 5.0 was first. He was ridiculously fast. Ran a 30.490.

I just realized I won't be able to make the June 16th event, I'll be down at High Point MX for the Pro Motocross race. Hope to make it up there at least once this year though.

Sorry, been off the grid for a little while. I would love to take my car to a track. I completely forgot about Lake Erie speedway! So they have days where joe blow can take their cars on the track? If so, I'm seriously going to have to look into it....:burnrubber:

They do autocross there, so they set up a cone course on the oval and through the infield. You aren't doing laps on the oval. Check out the schedule here https://www.mbrscca.com/solo/schedule-and-results/. They have their 2nd event this Sunday.
I won't be there this time, as it's my 1 year anniversary and it would probably be my last if I bailed on the wife to go to autocross haha :fighting0072:

Won the race yesterday at New Era Field. I ran CAM class. Saw a sweet 1LE in novice and he won that class too. Camaro's FTW! Had a co-driver with me who came in second, having never driven my car. I took a friend's kid for a ride on my last lap and ran my best time a 44.432, the best time of the day was a nasty Subaru on Hoosier slicks that ran a 43.3.

Mike (the thread starter) showed up for a bit. His car is BAD ASS for sure! Hopefully we all get to do an event coming up. The next New Era event is August 25th.
