New ZR2 color
If they offer the Camaro with some of the blackwing goodies AND in the blue ZR2 color i may have to make a dumb decision...

Correct me if I'm wrong but it sure looks like Hyper Blue Metallic to me! Maybe just a tad bit lighter, they never should have switched from that to Riverside blue in the first place! A Silverado ZR2 will most likely be my next truck, hopefully used to pull my 1LE or C8 Z06!!

....ok.....lol

Hard to tell...some photos sure look like Hyper-Blue and others it doesn't. GM tends to re-use colors and give them a different name when they do. Hyper-Blue was previously Kinetic Blue from 5th Gen's. So wouldn't surprise me if the new color is the same as previous ones.

I don't know. I agree that they never should have went away from using Hyper Blue Metallic.
That said, it was used across several vehicles for several years (under different names, but same paint code), but a couple years ago they stopped using it. I know off the top of my head it stopped being used on the Camaro, the Blazer, and the mid-size trucks and was replaced with a similar blue. So I kind of doubt this is THE same paint code, although it may be very similar. Too bad very similar isn't as good as just going with Hyper blue lol. |
Speaking of ZR2, i know production starts this month but any chance we see them on lots this year? I do need to buy a truck this year because the tax deduction would be nice.

The color we all adore is GD1 (WA388A), and it's been going by names like Kinetic Blue, Vector Blue, Hyper Blue and Marine Blue since 2016, see at https://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorco...age=1&rows=100. |
It's a very sharp truck in my opinion. Love the color.
I will have to go check this out in person when some local dealer actually gets one in this color. |
Looks pretty nice... no lt4 version? Is this Raptor/TRX attempted competition?
