Need a lot more seat time!!!
 

I finally got to make a few passes at Sacramento Raceway. The car ran decent considering it was 100 degrees and my best time was a 12.7 at 113. It was already about 90 here and my times got worse after that with a slew of 12.9 and 13.0 passes. These manual cars can be tricky to launch on stock rubber as well. My race weight was 3566 with 1/8 of a tank with out me in it obviously. Tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated !!! :help:

I dropped .6 by going to a drag radial so there’s that. Couldn’t figure out the stock run flats

What was your 60 foot time ?

It's all about that 60 foot time. Drag radials help big time but you can still make a decent pass on the stock Goodyears. Let a little air out of them and try not to over launch the car. Less is more most of the time...try slipping the clutch out and not dropping it hard.

On the 12.7 run I cut a 1.9 60ft and then I let some air out. I was at about 20 pounds at the rear tires. I think I let too much air out because my 60 foot times got worse and worse and the heat was awful.

I'm considering that or some 17 inch race stars on Hoosiers but that'll be after I get used to going down the track in this thing and the weather gets much cooler. I'll try slipping the clutch like you're saying. My launch rpm was at about 2200
